The Assistant Superintendent works with and reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent. This position provides a great opportunity to learn how to maintain a perennial rye grass golf course with bentgrass greens in a Northern California climate. The successful candidate will be a positive leader, motivator, and will act as a mentor to our team. The ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred but not required. CordeValle has spent just over 3.5 million in the past 5 years on improvements to the golf course, including a greens restoration, capillary bunkers and new driving range. There are plans in place to spend another 5-7 million in improvements in the next four years. This includes a new irrigation system along with a state of the art teaching facility at the driving range. The Assistant Superintendents will play a vital role in managing and maintaining the golf course.
